Myofascial Release

Incorporated with Remedial or Relaxation Massage Therapy

The Fascia: The Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds the muscles, bones, nerves and organs of the body.

When it is tight or inflamed it can restrict how your body moves and feels by restricting joint movement causing the muscles around those joints to get tight.

When the Fascia gets tight or inflamed it may also have an affect on your nerves - as the nerve endings get compressed by tight muscles this can sometimes result in uncomfortable moments of pain that may feel like a shot of electricity in a specific area of the body.

How it works: Myofascial Release is a Massage Therapy technique that when incorporated within a Remedial or Relaxation Massage helps release the tightness build up within the fascia, allowing the massage to then get into the muscles releasing tension and reducing any inflammation build up that may be putting unwanted pressure on nerves.

This allows your body to activate its natural healing response which helps in restoring flow and balance throughout the body.
