Trigger Point Release

Trigger points are most commonly known as muscle "knots", they are hyperirritable, tender spots within a muscle that causes pain at the spot and in a referred pattern to surrounding areas.

Often caused by overwork, poor posture, or stress, these sensitive spots reduce blood flow, leading to increased pain, stiffness, and restricted movement.

Trigger Point Release (TPR) is a therapeutic technique using pressure, massage and specific tools when incorporated with Remedial Massage Therapy.

It works by applying sustained pressure (typically up to 30 seconds at a time) to the targeted area.

This can help reduce pain in affected muscles, improve range of motion to help stiff joints become more mobile and increase blood flow which helps muscles return to their natural resting state.
